Chessie

Chessie is a lovely young brown tabby girl with beautiful big green eyes. While her confidence is growing day-by-day, since being surrendered to SAFE she’s cautious around people and likes to watch what’s going on around her from the safety of her condo.

When she was in her home environment, she was social, interactive and enjoyed attention. She also enjoyed the company of the fellow feline family members. She was also called Chester! When Chester was surrendered to SAFE, ‘he’ started displaying symptoms of being ‘in heat’ so it become evident he was in fact a female. She was then renamed Chessie and desexed.

While Chessie is timid at SAFE, we believe this is not necessarily representative of her personality in a home environment. Once she finds her special someone who will take the time to understand her and let her settle in slowly, we believe she’ll blossom, interact and enjoy lots attention again.
