About Max - 7 Year Old Miniature Poodle X (On Hold)
Meet Marvellous Max!
Max is the type of dog that loves companionship. He is the stereotypical lap dog and enjoys sitting with you & following you about the house as you go about your business – basically where you are he’s not far behind.
Max enjoys short walks, however he is not an overly active dog and would suit a quieter household atmosphere or ideally an older person/couple who are home often to keep him company.
He enjoys sleeping (a lot) and sitting with you on the lounge where he actually watches the TV. He needs to be allowed inside and to keep you company and sleep at the end of your bed. He’s loving and affectionate and feels at ease when you’re around.
Max is a hypoallergic dog, so he doesn’t drop a heap of hair, however like all dogs he will need a regular brush and even an occasional clip.
When walking Max he is great on the lead, he does not pull or tug and a short stroll will keep him satisfied. Upon encountering other dogs Max is quite timid and will seek your protection. He has come from a home where he is an only dog, therefore a home where he is the sole dog of the house will suit him fine.
Max does not like the rough and tumble of a busy house. Loud children around him may be to much as he can become overwhelmed. Max is friendly towards new people and although cautious he opens up when he’s ready. He is fully toilet trained and will let you know when he’s ready to go outside.

You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Max is in foster care in the Windale, NSW area. They are currently not available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $600.00 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
