About Cahlie - 2 Year Old Jack Russell Terrier (Trial)
Cahlie was born in September 2020, she is a tall and very affectionate female Jack Russell Terrier and weights 7.4kg.
Cahlie would be best suited to an active family with/or without another calm dog. She gets along well with her foster brother and sister who are small oldies but would prefer a pal that is better energy suited to play and do zoomies around the backyard with.
Cahlie is very smart and easy to train, she sleeps in a crate, is toilet trained and knows how to use doggie door. She knows basic commands -sit, come, and takes treats gently. Cahlie loves being inside with her family but is also happy to stay outside for long periods of time and chase lizards.
Cahlie loves going on long walks every morning and evening, she needs to continue her lead training as she gets very excited and will pull on lead. She can be dog reactive on walks (barks) so needs someone who will continue to work with her on this. She settles quickly if you move her away from the dog. She has supervised doggie play dates and is still learning how to play nice and share toys. Cahlie is energetic and sweet girl, she will need to be included in all family adventures and allowed inside. She is not ready for the beach or dog parks until she has more training on her reactivity.
Cahlie's perfect home would include:
Active family who will take her on long walks twice a day
A calm fur sibling or relatives/friends with dogs so she could have play dates
She is kid friendly, adores children and very gentle with them, can be jumpy to get pats
Home with access to indoors during the day (essential)
No cats
Secure fencing
