Hi, I’m Homer 👋

I’m really excited but a little bit scared because my foster mum has told me that I’m now ready for something called adoption.

She said that this means I will be with people who love me as much as she does and that I will never have to worry about being on my own again.

When I first came in off the streets, I was very frightened because someone had done something unkind to me and my jaw was broken and my skull had lots of fractures.

My foster mum fed me through a tube for a long time but slowly I got better and better. I remember that I couldn’t even look at her at first and she had to put a blanket over me so that she could get close enough to feed me. It was a very scary time but it’s turned out so much better than I could ever imagine.

I LOVE my new indoor life … I’ve got lots of friends in my foster home and I get along with everyone … even that gigantic stupid puppy who sometimes bounces around like an imbecile … I just give him space when he’s like that.

I’m just loving being patted now and when I’m really comfortable I’m even prepared to roll over and allow you to touch my belly.

My heart is very full at the moment because I’m paying mum back for all the care she gave me by helping to look after the 7 little kittens here. I love running Daddy Daycare and their kitty mum is also very pleased with my help. I’ve worked out I can jump the big high gate to go into the room with the kittens so I spend lots of the day with them.

I’m hoping to find a home where my special people understand that I’m going to be scared at first and might want to hide for a while. I’d like to have a friendly buddy or two to help me settle in and show me the ropes.
I’ve never met human children before so they might be a little much for me to cope with because loud noises and sudden movements make me want to hide.
