Unfortunately Storm was deemed disposable by his family and he found his way to SoCares.

It has been a pleasure to have Storm with us. You never hear a word from him, he keeps his kennel bedding very tidy and he always finishes all of his food!

Whenever you approach Storm he is so happy to see you. He loves the outdoors and can’t wait for his time in our runs to play and sniff with his pound friends.

This cheeky boy loves dipping his feet into his water bowl when he is outside. Staff are often having to change it because it get so dirty. Although he seems to like the water on his feet, he isn’t a fan of the hose.

Before arriving Storm spent his life outside and still has some learning to do when it comes to how to walk on a lead. He doesn’t pull when you walk him, however he likes to stop and start often and can get between your legs.

Storm really needs someone to teach him what he should have been taught as a puppy. He has a gentle soul and we have to be careful not to raise our voice around him, otherwise he will drop to the ground.

Storm has shown no interest in toys while he has been with us, but hopefully once he has his forever family and feels settled, he will start to have that joy for life again and will want to play with toys.

Type of household: Storm will need a loving, consist, calm owner who will open his world up to new sights and sounds. He needs his confidence built up and made to feel safe.

Storm has lived with young children before however since he has spent most of his life outside we are unsure how much interaction he had with them. From our observations when Storm becomes over excited he can get a little bit mouthy and jumpy which may knock small children over. We recommend if any potential family has small children they have dog experience.

Other pets: Storm has previously lived with another female dog and has shown no issues when he has met other dogs at the pound. He goes from wanting to play to being submissive. He isn’t quite sure how to interact with some dogs, but this will come in time once he gets to explore the world outside a back yard.

We believe Storm can be rehomed with another young, playful, carefree dog.

Unfortunately Storm doesn’t share a love for felines and has previously chased a cat in his old home. We are unsure of the circumstances and so with that being said, as Storm is only young with some consistent training, love and care he might grow to love cats.

Storm's adoption fee covers: microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
