Jimmy

*jimmy is currently trialling his new home* jimmy’s happy personality is so infectious you can’t help but smile when you meet this lovely, lively pup!! he’s looking for a new home after misplacing his old one – will it be with you???

described as “a fox terrier in kelpie clothing”, jimmy is alert and a great little watch dog, but not a yapper. He gets on well with his carers other dogs big and small and he especially loves the family cat. Jimmy plays really well with his carers children and likes to curl up afterwards on the couch with the kids or whoever happens to be there at the time – he’s such a lovely, happy little chappy! his carer can see jimmy being with a family with young children, or a family with older children, or with an older couple or an elderly gentleman who is on his own – jimmy would make the best companion as he would fit right in anywhere, he’s what we like to call a terrific little “all-rounder”!!

as jimmy is only a young puppy he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Being a kelpie x foxie he is very intelligent and with the proper training he will be wonderful – he already walks extremely well on a lead and is quickly picking up the “sit” and “down” commands. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Jimmy’s carer says he can be a bit of a fussy eater, but he’s getting better and will still require some help with his toilet-training. He looks like a kelpie but he’s the size of a foxie so we reckon he’ll only be small once he finishes growing. Jimmy would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
