Benny - 1 Year Old Border Collie X (On Trial)

Meet the most beautiful and affectionate pup Benny.

Benny was born in September 2021, he is cross breed with beautiful border collie markings and short Corgi legs. We believe he is Border Collie x Corgi. He is the size and body of a Corgi and weights 11.5kg.

Benny came into care with a female Jack Russell, they are very playful and love to do things together. For that reason, Benny would be best suited to a family with another young dog or relatives with dogs so he could have regular play dates.

Although Benny was a little timid when he came into care, he has since blossomed into happy and affectionate pup. Benny is very smart and easy to train, he sleeps in the laundry through the night and uses doggie door. He knows basic commands - sit, come and is learning to wait for his food. Benny loves being inside with his family but is also happy to play outside and enjoy his naps in the sun for long period of time. He loves to play with toys and chase lizards, he doesn't react to the barking dogs next door. Benny doesn't show the typical characteristics of a working breed, and is happy with a daily walk, play and chew toys and a long nap.

He needs to be included in all family fun and adventures as he is very affectionate and loves his humans (big and small). Benny will suit someone who will want to take him on their adventures, he is very affectionate and must be allowed to come inside to spend time with the family, he enjoys TV, dinner conversations, lots of cuddles and just being near you.

Benny is in foster care with a female Jack Russell that came from the same household, 12 year old male Pug and a 6 year old female Foxie cross. He interacts well with all of them and is very playful and friendly.

Benny's perfect forever home would include:
- A nice yard with secure fencing for napping and playing with toys
- Another fur sibling to run, cuddle and play with or relatives with dogs so he can have regular play dates
- Children over 5 years old who love dogs, Benny is a playful pup who is still learning not to jump on people and kids
- Home with access to indoors where Benny could cuddle up to you
- Someone willing to continue his training, he is very well behaved but can be unsure when out on the walk and needs re-assurance that he is safe
