About Cupcake
Hey there, how’s it going? My name is Cupcake and I am as sweet as my name
I’m looking for my forever home will that be you?
Now you have probably looked at my photos and just been blown away at how cute I am – I mean come on how could you not – I am a Maltese x Mini Foxie and I am just a baby at 6 months and 2 week old
Now I know ladies don’t like discussing their weight – but I’m okay with it because at 4kgs I think I’m pretty small and light
My foster mum says when describing me I’m a devoted little lapdog who loves snuggles and kisses. I likes nothing more than to be near my human, and a lap is my favorite place.
I also do enjoy having the best of both worlds – being able to have outside and inside time at my choosing. My foster mum says I can be a bit vocal sometimes at noises (I have saved her many many times from ninjas and aliens), and apparently I have been known to happily engage in some neighborhood gossip with other dogs when they are chatting.
She says cause I’m still very much a puppy, I love to chews toys rather than playing with them so plush toys have been put on the high shelf at the moment (along with shoes) and I’m testing the toys that are supposed to be indestructible.
I am living with another small breed dog and I absolutely love it!! There is nothing better than being able to play and race around the house playing at all hours.
I wouldn’t enjoy being home alone for 8+ hours a day without humans.
My foster mum says I am not a fan of spending time by myself unless I choose too. I am a typical lap dog so that means I’m looking for a lap that is home more often than not, someone who can take the time to sit down and let me have a snooze on them or near them and definitely a home with another dog to play with and socialise with.
I currently live with a cat – we have an understanding – I annoyed her – she told me to pull my head in – I did! But my foster mum says if you have a cat that won’t tell me to pull my head in then it could be an issue but if they want to play with me then I can have another friend!
I am working on my house training and my foster mum says we are about 92% there
My foster mum has been doing this walking thing with me but I’m not the biggest fan of a lead – she has said with time and patience I will improve and be a great companion out walking saying hello to all the neighbors as we walk past.
I am not a huge fan of stairs.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
