About Bailey
Hi I’m Bailey, I am a gorgeous 4 year and 5 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
I solemnly swear I will love you so much every day that you just won’t know what to do with all the love.
Hey did I mention I would love you if you become my family.
My foster mum says I’m the sweetest cuddly little girl who just wants to be with you on the couch or next to you on the bed, or even going for drives with you, or a walk – oh I love a walk now.
I can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but if you give me a moment to settle I will quickly come out of my shell to show my true personality - a sweet loving girl!
I am a little girl only weighing in at 6.5kgs
I have my little daily routines that I love to do - zoomies in the morning – often thru the house – but it means you can sit back drink your coffee and start each morning with a smile on your face from my antics.
I also love to show my appreciation for you feeding me – I will do my little ballet dancing and show you just how good I can do it with just my back legs!
My foster family do work and since I’m allowed to put in what I want (yeah okay my demands pls) I would like a home where someone is home more often than not – work from home, retired, shift workers even would be great, a big family with kids of any age to hang out with as my cuddle requirements are high. I won’t pine for you when you do go out, but I have a lot of love to give and am an anxious licker. While other dogs are great and all I much prefer the company of humans
Speaking of other dogs I am dog friendly (I’m friendly with everyone and everything my foster mum says) but I don’t really do much with the play thing with them and I am not above pushing my way in if my humans are giving another dog a cuddle – but come on if they are handing out cuddles I’m there!
I currently live with a cat – we have an agreement – the cat doesn’t bother me and I don’t bother the cat – if I was to go to a home where a cat was inquisitive or wanted to play I would probably happy chase them
When I came into care I hadn’t really had much exposure to walking on a lead but now I walk well on a lead! At first they were a little scary and I would fight against it not knowing what was happening, but I now know the lead means walks and adventure! So I am getting better and better.
I am completely toilet trained, a pro with the Doggy door, know my name and have great recall as I wish to please.
Overall my foster mum says I am perfect and if you want to share your bed with me, my heart will be yours forever.
I am very much an inside dog – snoozing on the couch and sleeping on my human’s bed and I would very much like this to continue.
I have a coat that does require grooming. I have already had a couple of professional grooms which didn’t faze me at all. The groomer did tell my foster mum that I need to continue going to a groomer so that my coat stays looking good & not matted so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
So if you’re looking for a companion who loves life and you, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Thursday 16th March 2023 at 5.30pm

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
