About Stampy
MEET STAMPY - The dark red "TEDDYBEAR" 1 of 3
Maine Coon x Domestic Long Hair 4years old approx. Stampy is available for adoption alongside his 2 other identical brothers or as a single cat.
He is a fatty boomba boy, classic maine coon size! Very affectionate, loves a cuddle and just goes with the flow, relaxed and nothing worries him. Stampy enjoys the outdoor enclosure a lot and will sit up in the cat run and just watch the world go by. Stampy just plonks down wherever he is, on the garden pavers, on the bed, at your feet. A very beautiful, handsome and special boy he is, He really loves food so monitoring of dry and wet definitely needs to happen otherwise he will just eat as he gets bored and this is his comfort.
Stampy needs to lose some kg's so both toy and human interaction is encouraged and a strong well built cat scratching post. Sitting up on it (the scratch post) is his favourite position, he likes to keep look out and enjoys play toys especially the feather thing on the long stick. Anything with something on the end of it. He puts it in his mouth and scurries off which is very cute to watch. He is such a sweetheart!
Being a large, heavy set cat, (on the 7.5kg side) a CAT RUN or an outdoor enclosed area which is a MUST for him as he loves it, he needs it for his physical and mental well being (He is currently used to one in foster care) He can't be kept in a very small area.
He has a very long, thick and dense coat so A MUST is grooming him every second/third day just to keep it from getting knotty and matted. His foster carer is a cat groomer who can assist if needed if you are local.
Medical notes
Stampy is desexed, microchipped, vaccination up to date and has had a recent health check.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
