About Max
💙 MAX 💙
Check him out!
Max is one of the kittens that came into care in an appalling condition after being dumped with his mum and siblings in a cage at a child care centre.
He was covered in ringworm. We use a black light to detect ringworm and he glowed so much we nicknamed him disco kitty! 🪩
He’s had lots of baths and lots of tablets and lots of cream applied to soothe and heal his skin.
Look at him now! He’s loving the cat tree and doing zoomies around the house now that he can play with the other kitties too. He’s so cuddly and can’t WAIT to find his forever home.
Max is great with gentle kids and learning that dogs aren’t so scary. Would be fine with a cat friendly dog who can continue to show Max there’s nothing to be worried about. He’d also love a kind kitty friend who he could play the days away with!
All of our cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped, 1st vaccinated, flea and worm treated and lifetime registered with the council.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
