Shelly arrived at the shelter very frightened, and spent her time hiding. With some time, patience, consistency and gentle care from shelter staff and her foster carer, Shelly has shown us what an absolute sweetheart she is.

New places and people are overwhelming, so Shelly's perfect humans will give her the time she needs to settle in. Her humans will be greatly rewarded for their patience.

Shelly loves to wag her tail and flop over for belly rubs as if she were a dog, but don't worry, the vets at the shelter has confirmed she's definitely a cat! She loves loves loves chin scratches and to rub up against her trusted humans. As yet she's unsure about lap cuddles - preferring to choose her own spot beside you for flops and snuggles.

Shelly will flourish in a quiet indoor home. Loud noises and quick movements can spook her, so best for her to live with grown ups only. A feline friend might be okay, but dogs would be a bit much for Shell.
