About Tia
Hello potential new family!
Tia is still looking for her furever home with owners who understand that she does not like other dogs - she can not go to a dog park or go on walks with friends who have dogs. While this might be a big quirk the love she has for her humans more then makes up for anything else
My name is Tia and I am an adorable Aussie Bulldog x
I came into the rescue with a bit of a bang – Boxing Day of all days. I had been at a rescue in NSW and they adopted me to a home in QLD here but unsure of the communication but I went to a home with other dogs and I’m not really that friendly with them.
Thanks to the rescue they stepped in and took me into care with them - they did all my vet work and put me in a family home with an awesome foster mum!
My foster mum says I am a little love bug who just loves to be around my humans – I do still respect your personal space but I just love to be near you – I’m happy with chillaxing with you while you watch tv, read a book, do your housework – I will just keep you company but not be annoying or jump all over you.
My favorite thing in life is loving my humans, getting pats and cuddles and giving them. OMG the tummy rubs – I just love tummy rubs or a good scratch behind the ear or by my tail – oh yeah, that I could enjoy all day.
I also have a favorite toy that I do like to disassemble from time to time and will do serious bulldog pout until my foster mum sews her back together…….. I also love to play with balls (and can destroy a soccer ball in minutes)
I am currently with teenage kids and I love to have cuddles from them and snuggle with them on their bed
I am toilet trained and happy to sleep all night and will do bulldog stubborn if you ask me to go outside after 8.30pm
I am also happy to help my foster mum in the garden – I love playing with the water when she is hosing the plants.
My foster mum says I'm a delight to have and one of the kindest sweetest natures she has even seen except when it comes to other dogs – then I can become the Tasmanian Devil she says – so definitely a home with no other dogs or cats just humans would suit me to the ground.
I do go for walks and can react when I see another dog but my foster mum has been working with me to redirect my attention.
While I have been in foster carer I have enjoyed the finer things in life - like sleeping in air conditioning (but that's a must cause of my breed).
I am used to being able to have a nap mostly of a morning, lunchtime and evening (hee hee) and in between all that play. I also snore as a very delicate freight train
I would love to have my own family - will that be you?

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
