About Ruby
ADOPTION GUIDELINES
CHILDREN OVER 10 YEARS - SINGLE DOG HOUSEHOLD - ACTIVE OWNER FAMILIAR WITH THE BREED - TRAINING CLASSES RECOMMENDED -NOT SUITABLE FOR APARTMENT LIVING
Ruby is bright, engaging, outgoing and clever. She is keen for social interaction with people and loves playing with you and her toys.
Ruby is starting to develop a polite bite inhibition so if she feels your hand close to her toy, she will do he doggy best to avoid hard skin contact. For a young puppy she does not jump up brutally and is very keen to learn using rewards-based methods.
In her first home before being surrendered to the RSPCA Ruby's short life started with some not so nice older dog interactions which have left injuries to her teeth and jaw. Ruby has been an absolute champion coping with all the vet exams her treatment has involved.
Because of this early trauma, Ruby is quite fearful of other dogs and will bark at them to keep them away from her so we believe at this stage she would best be suited as an only dog while she works though her fear with a loving new owner that understands what will be required.
The adoption fee for RUBY is $550.00 which helps to cover the cost of mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
