Sumac

Oh hi there, I didn’t see you, I was just hiding in a little hidey-hole. My name is Sumac and I start off very shy, but as soon as you pat me I start to purr, and purr loud.

I like to explore, but sudden loud noises scare me, and I run and hide. As soon as my foster carers get me, pat me and tell me it’s okay I purr and begin to feel calm again. Sometimes I need a little bit of forced love to show me that you are a safe space for me. I’ve been with my foster family for about a week now (on the 12.03.23) and I’ve come such a long way. I used to hiss and spit at every opportunity, but being around people who love me, and other cats has helped me so much.

And look at me, I’m black with white socks. I’m so cute!
