About Banksy - 3 Year Old Chihuahua X (On Trial)
Watch a short video starring Banksy: https://youtu.be/_ZK2xy4v3XY
Banksy is a 3yo Chihuahua mix (possibly a bit of mini-Dachshund). You’ll fall in love with his sweet face, big eyes and oversized ears… oh those ears!
He’s a little character with a very cool-dude swagger. With his big bug eyes and wide ears, he’s super cute but he will be even more so when his hair fully grows back – he required an all-over shave on arrival.
Banksy has heaps of confidence for a little guy. He’s not afraid to saunter up to large dogs, switch on the charm and say hi. He seems to get along with any friendly pooch. He is currently in care with two larger dogs and they all get on very well.
While he’s mostly confident, happy and content, he can very briefly revert to being a little anxious particularly in new, noisy environments or if he suddenly feels frightened. For this reason, he will not be suitable for a family with young children.
For a little guy who’s never had any training, he goes alright. He walks well on the lead and mostly does as he’s told. He clearly understands the word “no” when he’s doing something he shouldn’t. Using a doggy door on the other side of the house without being shown demonstrates he is a clever, resourceful guy.
Since being in care, Banksy has barely been left unattended, so he hasn’t been tested for long periods on his own. He seems to thrive with human and doggy company. He’s also been very quiet and has only barked a couple of times – but this may change if he’s left alone and/or when his confidence grows as he settles into his forever home. He has not been tested with cats, birds or other pets.
He’s a bit of a snuggler and, true to his breed and size, he’ll make a great lap dog.
Please consider Banky’s suitability for your lifestyle and family before submitting an adoption application.
