About Tequila

Tequilla is an adorable, sweet puppy who is approximately 16 weeks old. His mum was a large cross breed so we estimate he will grow to aprox 30 kgs. He is now 12.4 kgs. Tequila is incredibly affectionate with humans and loves to play with his foster siblings. He can be a sneak at times taking off with the odd sock or shoe but thats what curious puppies do, right?! All is soon forgiven though when he snuggles up to you for a big cuddle!
Due to his young age, he has sharp puppy teeth so will need to be monitored around small children. We are not sure if Tequila has come across any cats in his short life, so a well planned introduction must be organised before taking him into a home with a cat.
Tequila would love to be rehomed with another canine friend of any size who he can romp and play with, but if he was to go to a home as the only dog he will need ongoing socialisation/play-dates with other dogs and a family who will not leave him alone for long hours. Tequila is in foster care with five other dogs of varying sizes and ages who have been great role models for him. His foster carer has been putting lots of training in with Tequila and we need a family to continue with his force-free training, mental stimulation and excercise.
If you would like to meet Tequila please send us an informative email to sasrescue@gmail.com with as much detail as possible on yourself, lifestyle, any other pets, etc so that we can see if you are both a good match.
Medical notes
Tequila has been vet checked, microchipped, and is on flea and worm and heart worm treatment and has had his first and second vaccination.
Tequila is too young to be desexed and will be desexed when he is more mature and in consultation with our rescue vet at Beverly Hills Animal Hospital. The cost of desexing is included in the cost of the adoption fee if the desexing is carried out at our rescue vet as noted above.
Adoption details
SAS will arrange a "meet and greet" with our rescue pet and we offer a two week trial period if we feel that the rescue pet and the prospective family are well matched.
Most interviews will be held in the Maroubra area of Sydney
