Rudie -On Hold

Rudie (on hold) must be the friendliest duck around, infact, chances are she doesn't even know she's a duck!

it was one of the sadest surrenders we saw today, rudie is a very well loved family member that was brought here with great regret. She was initially an impractical present given to the daughter when just a duckling. She was brought up watching tv, being hand fed, following the family around and being walked like a dog around their suburb. If a family member stopped, she would quack loudly to alert the others so as to keep her flock together. She loves car trips, and has learnt voice commands, such as come and food in indian. Her favourite food is cherry tomatos! in the mornings rudie likes to be greeted with a bit of a dance, and she will bob her head up and down to join in. Rudie was given up due to the family only having concrete surrounds, which meant rudie got a condition commonly called bumblefoot. This was treated by a vet, and she is currently on medication and bandages. She needs a home with plenty of soft grass and a deep pond, but most of all a lot of human interaction. This is really essential to her wellbeing, or she will get lonely. We suspect she is already missing her family.
