Meet the AMAZING sweet and so lovable boy Master Maverick
Micro Chipped as a Golden Retriever x he's a med size boy weighing in at just 28 kilos of affectionate sweet and adorable pup
Maverick has a soft and gentle nature, is curious and exploratory on walks and is very well behaved around other dogs. He is very spritely and energetic and has generous levels of energy. He sleeps outside and is comfortable being by himself or with other dogs. During his time with his foster family, he has been amazing with many visitors, most of which include small kids, he treats all people equally and is not fussy about who is patting him.

Maverick’s foster family consists of two teenage children and two adults and has been a dream. Maverick made an instant impression on his foster family, as he is an absolute joy to spend time with, he warms your heart. Maverick loves playing all day - tug of war with toys or sticks. Running in the yard or just playing in the doggy shed. He is quiet as a mouse alone and is quite happy to play on his own. He eats well, has beautiful manners, and shows gorgeous affection for his humans. Amazing with kids and visitors, extremely friendly boy.
He is a water lover and he will spend endless hours playing with the water from the garden hose

Favorite Things: Maverick is content with snoozing in the sun, during his time with his foster family, he has been amazing with many visitors, most of which include small kids, he can modify his behavior depending on the person. Love water play and chasing the hose and all dog toys.
He adores squeaky toys and will play fetch till he drops lol
Mav loves cuddles and affection and did someone say treats ??? Mav seems to be a water boy too so we could definitely see him loving a swim
Interaction with humans: Maverick will love people, if you have the time to sit with him, he will be most happy.. He has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to sit or follow us around curiously. Our children have spent heaps of time in the backyard, chasing each other and throwing balls.
Obedience / Training: Maverick is a beautifully mannered boy with very submissive eager to please behaviors. He will eagerly wait for his leash to be placed on in anticipation of a walk, he is strong on lead and will need further lead training. Very pleasant to everyone he meets and is not bothered by passing dogs. He has great potential with training. He will sit and wait for permission before eating his food. He travels great in the car and doesn’t complain at all. Maverick was a dream during his most recent vet visit.

Animal Social Skills:
Master Maverick is great with other dogs and plays very well.
He has seen the resident cat through the door and has not reacted but we haven't had him face to face
FOOD: Maverick is eating two meals a day which consists of SavourLife dry food and Prime 100, also enjoys bones.
Independence: He sleeps outside and is comfortable being by himself without any fuss overnight.
Bathing and Hygiene: He had a bath and was well behaved, love, loves, love water.
SLEEPING: Maverick sleeps outside, he is quiet as a mouse and sleeps right through.
Exercise: Maverick currently has one walk a day, for around an hour. Couple this with his playtime of water and playing catch / chasey and that’ll be sufficient to keep him content
IDEAL HOME: Maverick love’s people more than anything else, we really wish he meets the most perfect family for he is a dream best friend!
A home with a nice size yard that is secure with some lovely grass as he loves to play on soft grass, shade and shelter
A family that will keep him well groomed
A family that have children would be great as he adores playing with kids but they must be dog experienced and over 5
A home that have the time to spend with him and walk him daily
Another dog in the home would be great but we are seeking a desexed well dog solicased female of med to large size who can be his BFF
