Grover

Grover is the most loveable deep chocolate Labradoodle is boy, full of life, always happy, ready to explore and play and yep true to breed loads of puppy oddle mischief lol
At just 12 months of age and 19.5 kilos his adorable looks and his typical young personality along with his breed he will have to in stitches laughing and pulling your hair out when he gets up to his mischievous ways lol
This handsome guy has lots of energy and would love to be a part of a family with an energy level that matches. He’s a very smart and loyal boy.
Being a young and cheeky boy, Grover is still learning his manners and when excited he can be a little jumpy and mouthy so we are seeking a family that would be happy to continue with guidance and training helping him be the best he can be.
You can definitely see the Lab in him with his food motivation. He loves, loves, loves his food and will do anything for a treat including following commands of sit, stay and shake!
When Grover arrived into the rescue he hadn’t had a lot of training or exposure outside the home so unfamiliar things slightly made him nervous and sometimes still do. With visits to the dog park, trips in the car and daily walks foster Mum has shown him the world is actually a big playground and great fun.
Of an evening Grover enjoys cuddling on the couch once the junior foster carers have gone to bed. He is slowly understanding the concept of toys with his ball and teddy bear, but playing chase and interacting with the children is so much more fun.
Grover does seem to be 90% toilet trained if the door is left open with only a few accidents inside
Now remember GRover is an Oddle breed so will require regular professional grooming to keep his coat in check
Favorite things.
Grover's favorite thing is easily the children. He absolutely loves kids!!
He loves snippering their feet , stealing their toys and running away and of course playing chasey and running around the yard playing
He has now started to really enjoy his walks and getting excited when the lead comes out.
Treats are also life for Grover!!
Interactions with humans.
Grover is definitely a people's pooch. He loves humans, loves children, He may take a few minutes to warm up to a new face but once he feels safe he will be your best friend for life.
Obedience and training.
Grover is very intelligent, he can sit, shake, drop and foster Mums daughter is in the process of teaching spin! We are still working on stay!!!.
Grover is walked daily and does need more lead training as that is all so new to him he can pull a bit, with treat reward training it wont take to long for him to learn, he has made great progress in his short time in foster care.When he first arrived he had no idea how to walk on a lead and his progress has been amazing
Grover has an active mind and will require a lot of stimulation and exercise and a family committed to working on his basic manners
Animal social skills.
Grover is dog friendly, he would love a fur sister in his new home or regular play dates with a dog that matches his energy.
Dominant dogs do scare him. He doesn't like dogs aggressively barking at him and he will cower away but if a friendly dog passes by he is more than happy to say hello ...He is the friendliest fella!
Grover has not been tested with cats and we really don't know how he would go
Food.
Grover loves food, he is not a fussy boy at all. He's currently eating #Savourlife puppy dry food, 2-3 times a day.
Independence.
Grover spends a few hours each day outside alone. He hasn't been destructive, with the exception of occasionally to pull washing off the line or stealing the odd shoe .
Grover has access to a long lasting treat and a stuffed Kong whilst foster Mum is away from home.
Bath and Hygiene.
He is not the biggest fan of the bath but is a good boy whilst being washed.
When his beautiful coat grows back he will require regular grooming.
Sleeping.
Grover does sleep on the couch or in his plush bed of an evening.
He usually goes to bed and settles at about 10pm
Exercise.
Grover is a high energy pup and will require lots of exercise and stimulation. We are seeking a home and family that can match and satisfy his energy levels along with a daily walk.
He definitely need a large size yard with plenty of room to run and stretch those your puppy legs

Children are very welcome as ge loves them but please be mindful he loves playing with them so they must be mature and dog savvy and definitely old enough to handle is puppy loving antics
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies
I would love a secure backyard that has grass for me to play in with shelter and shade and room for me to run so no little units or tiny terrace yards
I would love a BFF doggy friend if possible that is a FEMALE and of medium size and up who is kind and loving and would be ok with the usual puppy chewing and playful behavior. .She must be desexed and well socialized with other dogs
I would love a home that my new family are willing to train me and not just have me as a back yard ornament and who will treat me as a part of the family]
Young dogs require lots of time and devotion to ensure they become the best dogs they can be
