Meet Bernadette (Bernie): A sweet little lady who loves her humans.

Unfortunately, Bernie had an unsettling experience early in her life, which has left her cautious around new people and unfamiliar situations. While it may take a little time for her to warm up to you, once you've gained her trust, there's no holding back the affection – expect cuddles, face-licking, and enthusiastic bum wiggles from there on out. Due to this, Bernie is seeking a home with someone who can be understanding and patient as she discovers that you are a trustworthy presence. Her ideal companion is someone who values the gratifying journey of witnessing her gradually emerge from her shell and begin to enjoy life, all because you've created a secure and comforting environment for her.

Bernie loves soft toys and likes to put them all in a little pile. She is also a diva when it comes to treats, so be prepared to buy lots of cheese and liver bits – no boring biscuits please! Bernie would suit being both an only dog, or being in a multi-dog house pending a successful meet at greet.
