Brandy is a beautiful little 18 kilo girl who will never be far from your side!

She is super affectionate and has many quirky characteristics that you’ll just adore!

A sweet yet submissive girl whom loves nothing more than human interaction, affection and belly rubs. In typical Staffy style she loves to commando crawl across the lawn and enjoys her daily walks!

Brandy will make the most perfect companion.

Walks

Brandy loves walk time and is walked daily her favourite thing is sniffing all the smells along the tracks.

She will at times decide she’s had enough and demand a quick stop (roll in the grass and be pat) but is quick to keep moving. Initially Brandy may pull on lead but after the excitement settles she calms and is happy to take in her surroundings at a steady pace

Food

Brandy is a good eater and equally a big snacker. She currently has dry food in the AM, and a combination wet/dry food for dinner. She enjoys bones and can play with and hide these all day if given the chance:

Obedience

Brandy is learning the basics and can sit when there is food, ongoing training will see her improve in this. She does sometimes jump up out of excitement. When inside, she will stay in her bed if told, and will listen to directions - although she will test you with her gorgeous puppy dog eyes.

When outdoors, Brandy has lots of energy and can at times take whatever if laying around for her to chew on. We have quickly learnt not to leave any good shoes or objects in the back yard as they will end up in her bed.

We recommend lasting treats and durable toy to redirect this behaviour.

Indoor / Outdoor

Brandy spends most evenings indoors and has soon been promoted from her bed to couch, after lots of begging. She is quick to settle and loves to cuddle up on the couch. Brandy will benefit from ongoing housetraining and keeping a close eye on her when indoors. She is content when outdoors during the day and when she has toys to entertain her, her ideal home would include a family , couple or individual that is home a lot.

Socialisation

Brandy can be a little timid when meeting four legged friends and is very submissive, but does enjoy a play and being in the presence of another dog once she feels confident. We will consider applications with another dog ( Male) however the resident do will need to be male, of similar size , desexed, kind and well socialised , we will also consider an only dog home if the humans of the house are home more often than not. Brandy can sometimes be a little shy when first meeting new people but within a quick minute she is certainly ready for love, pats and a belly rub.

Enrichment

Brandy loves bones and toys that she can chew on, as she will otherwise look to chew less dog friendly items. She will be best entertained and enriched with appropriate chew toys, daily exercise and lots of 1:1 time with her new family members.

Car

Brandy was initially a nervous traveller but still quite curious when in the back seat, her travel confidence is improving each day as spends more time in the car with her foster mum

Adoption criteria

-A home where a family member is home a lot

-A Home that will keep her stimulated when home alone

-Loved and treated as part of the family

-Good size grassed yard for zoomies and play

-Daily walks.

-If you have another dog the resident dog must be male, desexed ,of similar size, kind playful and well socialised

( we will also consider applications with out another dog)

-A promise of lifetime cuddles and belly rubs
