Dakota was rescued from the local pound after being surrendered. We don't know too much of her history but we understand that she gave birth about 4 months prior to winding up at the pound (and that her pups all went to loving homes).
It doesn't appear that she's had much in the way of training or socialisation with other dogs but she's figuring out her place in her carer's pack, where she tries to exercise some dominance now and then, but is otherwise a good pack member.
She's learning to walk on the lead and is taking well to some structure and routine. Shepherds are a special breed, they are very loyal and protective of their owners, very intelligent and can be quite highly strung. Dakota possesses all of these qualities, and so much more. She is so ready to find her forever and ever home, preferably with someone with experience in owning Shepherds, and who is willing to put some time into continuing her training and safe socialisation (no dog parks!).
Dakota will be quite easy to train as she's food motivated and is so ready to give her all to her new owners.
Dakota is $350 to adopt, including desexing, C5 vaccination, heartworm tested (negative) and has been given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
