About Maurice
Do you have a rodent problem? Do you need someone to take care of this? Look no further than Maurice!
Working Class Cats are cats that do not cope in a shelter environment and can not be rehomed as conventional family pets. These cats would love to spend their lives outdoors or in a factory/ barn type setting, helping you control your barn, warehouse, plant nursery, produce farm or other places where there are rodent and pest populations.
These cats are often not social enough to live indoors as pets but they do a great job at deterring and controlling rodents. Every so often, one of these cats ends up in our shelters. Since they're not ideal pets, we put them to work in local businesses doing what they do best.
Maurice came to us with some of his kittens, and it is apparent he doesn't have much experience with handling. Second Chance Animal Rescue have been working long and hard to rehab his bubs who are currently gaining trust in foster care. Although the kittens are growing and becoming social, it is clear that Maurice is very shy around most people. He may warm up eventually to a single person as where he came from reported that he had been fine wandering in and lounging on the couch and had become quite chatty. However, we feel it would put a lot of stress on him to become a conventional family pet.

Maurice comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and wormed. He will be quite happy to spend his days lazing about in the sun while patrolling his new digs.
