About Winston
WINSTON is a gentle, affectionate and placid pup, born in October 2022.
We've marked him as "mixed breed" because, as he grows, he looks less like the Kelpie/Cattle Dog we thought he was initially. He weighed 18 kgs on 2 March 2023.
Sure, his silver chest suggests some Cattle Dog and his black and tan markings suggest some Kelpie, but his mild temperament and lower energy level are not typical working dog.
Winston lives in a busy foster home with adult dogs and other pups. Although he can be quite playful, you'll often find him in a quiet corner of the yard, snoozing the day away. He's happy in his own company and rarely barks.
He's also very people-focused. If you were to give him a choice between playing with his canine mates or sitting on his foster mum's lap for a cuddle, he'd choose the latter every time.
Winston has started his lead training and is used to living inside-outside. He is house-trained.
If you are interested in meeting him, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Kindly ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time, in which case Winston would be quite happy being an only dog. As always, secure fencing is essential.
Winston lives in Warwick, Queensland and is available for interstate adoption to an approved applicant.
