About Daisy
Daisy deserves the comforts of her new foster home. She had long racing record and had a litter of pups so is ready for her new career as a chesished family member.
Daisy’s name is no accident as she is a bright flower who will pop up everywhere just to say hello. She delights in sneeking up and goosing you, sticking her snoot between your legs. A little embarrassing when she does it to a stranger.
Daisy has her moments of absolute joy and boisterousness like a puppy but will be happy to spend much of the day snoozing. She will follow you from room to room until she knows where you will settle. When you have settled, she will relax and just be happy to keep you company while you are working at the computer or reading.
Daisy is a good and enthusiastic walker but doesn’t pull. She will stop to sniff and investigate all the interesting things on the nature strip and will show delight if a human wants to say hello.
Daisy is getting used to meeting new dogs on her walks but is more interested in the pats and cuddles from humans.
In the home, Daisy is perfectly toilet trained and sleeps on her own bed in the human bedroom. She already understands if its a work day we get up early but if it's the weekend we enjoy a sleep-in. Daisy gets along well with her younger foster brother, another greyhound but she wishes he would like to play with her more. She is not too precious about her food or toys so happy to live with another dog.
Daisy is learning the joy of toys, loving the squeaky ones and wrestling her cuddlepillar - an oversized plush toy.
As well as her walks, Daisy loves her excursions in the car. She enthusiaticly jumps in and travels calmly to our destination.
Daisy is a confident and social butterfly who will love an active life and be adaptable to most homes. She can be a little excitable and jumpy so not ideal for very young children.
Daisy, our white and black sweetheart will add so much colour to your home.

No full time workers unless some working from home or there is another dog

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
