Finley - 1 Year Old American Staffy X

Finley is a very loveable, quirky 15 month old medium sized American Staffy cross (kelpie?) pup. His perky ears make sure he doesn’t miss out on anything (especially food sounds!) and he loves to chat with you in his own special language when helping you around the house. He will be a loving, active and chatty friend with the right person or family.

Finley loves cuddles and will happily sleep through a movie with you on the sofa. He also thinks he is a lap-dog who can fit anywhere, even on your lap with another medium sized dog!

He is a smart, energetic pup who loves to play with both his four legged and two legged family. He is very good with other dogs (after proper introductions) and has lots of energetic fun playing with them. He is learning to play tug-a-war and fetch, and really enjoys playing in his shell pool (but not his baths!).

Finley has learnt a few skills since being in foster care, but being a puppy means that he needs ongoing training. He has already learnt to ‘sit’ and use a doggy door (quick learner!) and is currently learning to ‘wait’ for his dinner and be ‘gentle’ (when he gets over excited and puppy-nips). He is toilet trained but, being a pup, has had a couple of slips-ups. Finley walks well on the lead most of the time, although if other dogs are around he tends to get distracted and wants to go over to them. He is not aggressive, just puppy-keen to say hello.

• Does not have a cat
