About Bernice
If you are interested in Bernice, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/w1iDu99Rx4PpvG7e7
Beautiful Bernice is looking for a special person who can help her gain confidence and be the best she can be!
Bernice is an affectionate girl who enjoys human company. She has previously been a pet so is house trained and can sleep through the night without disturbance. Bernice can cope with some alone time as she just snoozes through the day.
She walks well on the lead when out. In her previous pet life she was not exposed to a lot of other dogs and is currently learning how to positively interact when out and during play. Her play with other dogs can get rough and noisy if not monitored, so a confident handler who she can continue to teach her positive play is essential. Because of this we think she would be best suited to be an only dog, or a friend to a calm dog who is unlikely initiate or join in play.
Bernice would be ok in a house with a yard or an apartment.
Bernice would benefit from enrichment activities such as lick mats, and snuffle mats. Bernice is calm most of the time, but has moments where she forgets her age and is high energy. Someone who can manage her bursts of energy and find the right types of stimulation for her will be best.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
