Introducing the star of the show… his name is Patterson!

Patterson is a very goofy and chatty boy, who must be the centre of attention at all times ..and boy does he know how to use his good looks to get what he wants!

He loves ‘helping’ with the housework, and by ‘helping’ we mean not helping at all, just sitting on top of you while you try to do anything. Patterson loves couch time, he loves climbing into your lap or cuddling up next to you (as evident in his pictures), so his new home must be open to having quality couch time with him.

He is looking for a home where he will have human company at all times, as he does not like to be left by himself. When left alone for a few short periods whilst in care, he has shown no destructive behaviour, he just sits by the door and gets very vocal.

Patterson is able to sleep all night without needing the toilet but is still working on his toilet training during the day. He will need someone who will provide him with patience and guidance as he continues to learn.

At his foster home, he has been sleeping in a crate in his own room every night, and though he does sing a very loud lullaby each and every night when the lights go out, he eventually settles and sleeps soundly for the night. His *ideal* home would be one where he is welcome in the human bed, as he sleeps without a peep if he is able to cuddle up to his people.

Patterson has been living with 2 young cats, and although he does often chase them for play, he has shown no aggression towards them. He is very bouncy and often unaware of his size, therefore Patterson’s forever home will have no small children and dog-savvy cats advised. He gets along well with other dogs (though initially shy), but will need a dog who will tolerate endless mouth licks (licking is his love language!), his bouncy behaviour and high energy. Patterson would do great with a doggy role model to help him develop his manners!

Patterson loves food very much and since being in care he has learned to sit and ‘wait’ before meals – a huge achievement for a pup whose life revolves around food and treats! He will require ongoing obedience training and his new family must be able to commit to this.

With a heart as big as his ears, he has a lot of love to give and is very keen to find his special someone to love him as much as he will love them!
