About Otis - 11 Month Old Jack Russell (On Trial)
Otis the 11 month old male Jack Russell x is looking for the simple life. Having a cosy lap and a daily outing is enough to fill this boys cup.
Otis is a quiet boy that will have a little play with the other dogs in care but he is not a high energy boy so ultimately just wants to be with his human.
He is slowly coming out of his shell and it has been beautiful to watch his confidence grow and show his sweet nature. Otis' new home would have to show the same patience so that he can see that the world outside his backyard is not so scary. This would allow him to enjoy his daily stroll and be the best Cafe pal he could be.
He is working on a few new things including his toilet training and is doing so well so far. His new home will need the time to continue this training as loves to be inside with his humans as well as exploring the yard.
Otis has been tested to be left home alone and shown no signs of anxiety however someone is who is home often would be his best fit.
Otis has grown up having to be submissive to another dog and has shown that being given space of being by himself he can truly thrive and build on his own confidence. His ideal home would see him being an only dog so that he can enjoy the attention and have the energy put in to him in training and exposure or if not have a dog companion that is settled and would not take the lead over him.
Otis has been living in care with dog savvy children that understand he doesn't want to be overwhelmed with attention and he will happily approach them for pats and couch cuddles when it suits him. So a home with children over 10 would be preferred. Otis has not been exposed to cats or pocket pets.
For more information or to meet Otis, please contact his foster carer on their email hgrescue@outlook.com. Otis is in foster care in Salamander Bay NSW. Otis' adoption fee is $700 and will cover desexing, vaccination, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
