About Riggs
Meet Riggs, a 2-year-old male kelpie mix with endless energy and a love for adventure! Riggs is a bundle of excitement and loves nothing more than going on walks and car rides. He walks on a halti, making it easier for him and his handler to enjoy their time together without any unnecessary pulling.
Riggs is a very affectionate dog, and he absolutely adores people. He's the kind of dog who will shower you with love and affection as soon as you walk in the door. However, Riggs can be a little jumpy and excitable, so he needs a confident handler who can guide him and provide him with clear boundaries.
Although Riggs loves people, he doesn't get along with male dogs right now. He would benefit from being an only dog until he is trained and confident around other dogs again. Riggs also hates storms and fireworks and will seek shelter and hide during these events. Therefore, his handler should ensure he's in a secure and comfortable area during such times.
Riggs is toilet trained and great in the house. He enjoys lying on the deck, watching the birds, and taking in the fresh air. He's not a fan of cats or pocket pets, so it's best that he is kept away from them. Similarly, small children may not be suitable for Riggs, as his excitability may cause him to unintentionally knock them over
In conclusion, Riggs is a wonderful and loving dog who needs a confident handler to help him be the best version of himself. He thrives on adventure and loves spending time with his human family. With a little patience, training, and a safe environment, Riggs will be an excellent companion for the right person.
