About Rubiks
This black beauty goes by the name of Rubiks and whoever ends up with this little stunner is going to be a very lucky family! He is cuddly, affectionate, playful and smart. What more could you want in a dog?
Rubiks came from rural NSW and has been learning all about life in the big smoke. He has been enjoying home life and getting used to all those creature comforts. He LOVES a snuggle on the couch or a play in the backyard. This boy is just always happy. Rubiks is currently living with 4 other dogs of varying sizes and ages and has been social with all of them. He often initiates a fun game of rumbles or bitey face, although can sometimes forget about personal space with the old dogs though! He is fantastic with the resident cat and has met a few older children who he’s been friendly, but a bit jumpy with. He has been starting to socialise with dogs outside of the home and has been doing very well. The only unwanted behaviour he has shown, has been the occasional bark at another dog on leash, but he is easily redirected. He will need a dedicated family who will commit to continuing his socialisation to ensure he continues to grow into a well balanced and social adult dog.
Rubiks has so much to offer. He’s very smart and enjoys training. He’s been learning his basic obedience and toilet training is well underway. He is crate trained, but enjoys coming up on the bed for a cuddle in the mornings! He’s been working on leash training and gaining confidence in new surroundings with each outing. He has some typical puppy behaviours such as a little bit of mouthing or jumping when he’s excited, which his foster carer has been working to improve. He absolutely loves toys so training with treats or toys is easy. He has moderate exercise levels and will require a good amount of daily exercise to keep him happy. He would absolutely love to be included in some fun family adventures! We are looking for a dog experienced family who will continue his basic training and continue to show him all the amazing things the world has to offer.
Rubiks will slot into a lot of homes as he is such a fun and charismatic boy. He would be ok with dog savvy kids who won’t mind if he mouths or jumps up. He will either need another confident and playful dog in the home, or someone home more often than not. Given how well he has adapted to living with a cat, we feel he could be suited to living with other species if correct introductions were done. He will require a warm bed to sleep on inside at night time, and provided a good quality diet.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
