You'll have to speak up! I'm a little hard of hearing!

I am a very special girl who went through a bit of a rough patch, though you would
never know it, considering how sweet I am! I am a very well mannered and sociable lady who would be suited for almost any home. I'm good with people and dogs alike but there is one catch... I am deaf. Due to this, I will need to go home with people who have experience with dogs and understand that I might need a special kind of training. I am very treat motivated and love to be around people, so I should pick up on things quickly in my new home! I'm pretty bright and already offer a very pleasant "sit" when I see that I'm about to get a treat or some food.
I would like to be in a mature household without children . I am very sweet in nature. I am very gentle and generally very calm (though I do have my moments of turning into a bouncy puppy when I'm excited). The only reason I'd prefer to live without children is that I may startle if touched or approached unexpectedly. I just want to make sure everyone in my home understands this. However, if you have another dog at home, I would love to meet them! Here at the shelter I've shown that I am rather good with dogs. It would probably be best if I went home with a calmer dog who I can follow around and copy. This will encourage me to maintain my good manners and it will help to build my confidence as I can be a little timid at times.

Overall, I am a lovely dog with no any major concerns other than the fact that I can't hear. At least you won't have to worry about loud noises giving me a scare!
