About Jigsaw
You can’t help but fall in love with this guy as he almost looks like a cartoon character! He has the most awesome smile you have ever seen on a dog and his wonderful personality and playfulness makes you smile too. Jigsaw is a very happy go lucky puppy and his tail never stops wagging. He is a fantastic cuddler and loves every person he meets. Jigsaw is nicely balanced, as he is more than happy to wander off and have a game with his toys by himself. He also enjoys exploring the yard where he finds butterflies and insects to chase around. Jigsaw enjoys playing tug of war with his foster carers and challenging himself with puzzle toys.
Jigsaw has been in foster care with a large adult dog, and he has been very good with his big sister. They enjoy playing together by having rumbles or chasing games around the yard - his little legs try hard to catch her. Jigsaw has met a couple of other dogs out and about and has shown to be a social boy. His new owners will need to continue to provide him with opportunities to have positive interactions with other known dogs in controlled environments while he is continuing his development. Originally, Jigsaw came from far western NSW so all the sights and sounds of the city are new to him. He is doing really well expanding his horizons and his new home should continue to expose him to new places and situations gradually while building his confidence. Jigsaw may be small in size (we expect him to get to around 10-15kg), but he is relatively active and will require daily exercise and stimulation to keep him content and healthy throughout his life.
While in care, Jigsaw has begun his basic training. He is a smart little boy who is picking up commands quite quickly. He knows how to sit and is learning his recall and how to walk nicely on the lead. Jigsaw is crate trained and sleeps in his crate quietly overnight – he even likes going back there during the day for naps. He is progressing well with his toilet training and is already starting to ask his foster carers when he needs to go outside. Like any pup he sometimes tires getting into something he shouldn’t, but he is very responsive to correction. His new family should be committed to continuing his training beyond puppy school to ensure that he is set up to become the best little doggie he can be. We also know he will thoroughly enjoy the mental stimulation and bonding that comes with training activities.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where Jigsaw will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He would love a home with another playful and friendly dog and/or where someone is home more often than not. Jigsaw will need to be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He would be fine to live with dog savvy kids but should always be given some down time and his own space. Jigsaw is expected to be fine to live with other types of pets with the appropriate introductions and training. We are looking for a home with a yard for Jigsaw due to his love of the outdoors so no unit applicants please. He is wonderful little character that is sure to brighten up anyone’s home and will become an integral member of the family.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
