About Minty
The owner had to move for medical reasons and could not afford to keep her 17 cats. All were bought into Happy Paws Haven. No vet work had been done so were breeding out of control. Minty arrived at Happy Paws Haven from Bonshaw near the queensland border pregnant nearly ready to give birth we decided that she should have her kittens. We think this may have been her third litter. She went into labour on the Saturday night and by Sunday morning was struggling so into see Dr Ray who decided that we should give her a caesarean section and out popped 7 kittens which is a large litter for a cat to have and was probably the reason for the struggle. Any way all survived and have grown up to be healthy playful kittens. Minty is a friendly cat although can be standoffish at times, she particularly does not particularly like being picked up. She is happy to be stroked and groomed, and will come to you when she wants too so is not as demanding as some of the cats we have at Happy Paws Haven. She will make a loyal and devoted companion to anyone who is lucky enough to adopt her.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
