Brooksy

Brooksy is a 10 month old cattle dog cross Australian bulldog puppy.

He is a very affectionate boy, whose favourite thing is to cuddle with you on the couch, either with his head on your lap or leg, or at least a paw on you at all times. He also loves to lavish you in kisses. He looks up at you with his furrowed brow and sad eyes and your heart melts.

His second favourite thing is playing. He loves playing with other dogs, with squeaky toys or balls or playing tug. He is great at fetching, not so great at giving up the toy yet. He loves having something to chew on. He also likes to swim if it's to go after a ball.

Brooksy has had a tough start to life. He is quite timid with new people and new things, and while he is good walking on a lead, can become a bit apprehensive of too many people out and about, lots of cars and loud noises. This will improve with gradual exposure.

He is great with all people including small children, and is very gentle. He likes the company of other dogs, and would be quite sad if left alone, so another doggie friend is essential or someone who is home all the time. A commitment to regular exercise, stimulation and training is essential so that he can be the best boy possible.

Also required is a lot of time, patience and love to make this boy feel safe and secure. If you don't allow dogs on the couch then don't bother applying as he wants to be as close as possible to his humans. Please ensure you have discussed a possible adoption with all parties involved and have considered your financial situation before applying.
