Kuro is a beautiful gentle dog who is coming out of his shell now he has been in foster care for a little while. He can take some time to get to know you, but is a super snuggle bug once he feels comfortable. Kuro would do best with another doggy companion or someone who can spend lots of time with him building his confidence. He would benefit from enrichment toys if left alone - he loves chewing on his kong or getting treats out of his treat ball!

Kuro is fully toilet trained but is just learning how to walk on a lead. He has started to learn to sit, and he would benefit from ongoing training in his new home. He loves being outside, and a medium to large yard for zoomies is essential for him. Despite his Kelpie breed he is happy with moderate exercise, especially if he has another doggie friend to play with during the day. He is comfortable sleeping outside in his kennel when the weather is fine, or inside if cooler. He is crate trained and currently sleeps in the lounge in his crate next to his foster sister when sleeping inside in his foster family's house.

Kuro is fantastic with other dogs but he has not had a lot of positive interaction with people. He is currently living with an 8 year old and while he loves to watch, the noisy play of children is a bit scary for him so he tends to keep his distance. A home with adults only or with teenage children would help him become his most confident self. He has not been tested with cats.

Kuro definitely needs his forever family to have patience as he gets to know them, but he is a wonderful, loving companion and the person lucky enough to get this beautiful boy will be in for lots of love and loyalty.
