✅ Likes: Humans, relaxing in her bed or on the floor near you (if she is lucky
a little cuddle on the couch), cuddles and going for walks (long and short
walks)
❌ Dislikes: Being left alone for too long
Smoosh is sweet and very very cuddly, she earned her nickname very quickly
as her fosterers would be greeted when they returned home with big, big
cuddles where she would smoosh her head into them to get closer.
Her fosterers live in an apartment and she has been doing very well there with
1-2 short/long walks a day, if the adopter has an apartment this would be
needed so Smoosh can get her zoomies out. Smoosh hasn’t damage any
property in the apartment though a ‘furever’ home with a backyard where she
can run and play until she wants to have a nap somewhere comfortable would
be ideal.
Smoosh loves to go for walks and will look back every now and then for a
quick cuddle. She can sit and wait before crossing the road and walks
perfectly with head leader collar with no tension on the lead, without this she
pulls and this can hurt both her neck and the walker. Smoosh doesn’t love
her head leader collar but you’ll see her tail start wagging every time you
bring it out because she knows she’s about to go for a walk, Smoosh will sit
and patiently wait for you to pop on the collar, she has no issues with this
process.
Smoosh does suffer from separation anxiety though has come so so far since
her first day, she now sleeps in her crate in the lounge room with the doors
open comfortably. Her fosterers are very proud of her! A home with a
backyard will allow her to keep herself entertained when her ‘furever’ parents
are away.
Smoosh is definitely dog friendly though is more likely to say hello to other
dog quickly and then continue walking with you.
She has been walked in places with lots of people, parks, river trails and
suburban streets and does very well. A great doggo for company and love.
Smoosh is silly, cuddly, loyal and very sweet. She would love her ‘furever’
home to be with someone who also shares these qualities and has the time to
walk her, teach her some new tricks and be her best friend.
