Phantom

Phantom is the sweetest, most affectionate boy. He is very gentle, loves everyone and rolls over onto his back to get your attention. He was found living on the street but he is so relaxed around people that it’s likely that he has lived in a home before.

We were immediately concerned about his ‘funny walk’ and on examination our vet is not sure how this happened – it could have been caused by some trauma which wasn’t treated but it’s more likely that Phantom was born with a congenital hip condition.

Phantom has adapted very well to having ‘wonky back legs’ and while he cannot jump, he walks and runs effectively and he is a lively, lovely cat. As long as he has an appropriate level environment and is kept indoors, there should be no ongoing concerns but regular checks may be advisable depending on your own vet’s advice. He’s best suited to a household without dogs and will need to stay on a Z/D diet due to his sensitivity to some cat foods.
