About Emmitt and Howie
These two boys are Howie, aged 8 years old - a Maltese mix Jack Russell & Emmitt, a 10 yea-old Maltese mix Silky Terrier are needing a foster carer, or even better, a forever home.
Both have different personalities and have been very loved.
Howie .... A beautifully loving boy, full of energy, loves his walkies and being snuggled up with his humans. A wonderful little shadow, your personal little sidekick, will follow you all day long to make sure you're ok. Amazing with humans, as long as they are older than 10, the smaller humans make him a little nervous ... he's great with his best buddy Emmitt but is very unsure and wary of other furry friends so best to give them a wide berth just to make sure everyone is comfortable.
Emmitt .... Loves to be in the car and enjoys having the window down to get some air in his face - a gorgeous little bundle of energy who also loves his walkies, but doesn't quite have the same stamina as his brother - will tire a little bit before Howie does ... will happily sit in a stroller and let you push him the rest of the way, or curl up in your arms and let you carry him home. Slightly more social than his brother, he's curious about other furry friends, and will happily go say hi when he's out and about with you on his own. He loves his treats. He likes playing with other dogs but can tend to be a bit dominating in his behaviour (oldest dog).
They are inside dogs and need a patient, loving home 💕
They enjoy daily walks 🐾.
Howie is a little fearful but settles. He also doesn’t like storms.
Howie and Emmitt would love a lowset home and a calm environment and someone home more often than not to smooch up a storm...

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
