Bandit is a very handsome, mixed breed young dog. He's medium sized and may have a bit more growing left to do, but not much. He is a super friendly, pleased to meet you type of guy and greets everyone like a long lost friend! Dogs are also encountered with the same enthusiasm. He's very much an overgrown pup!
Bandit is in care with two cats and is rather unsure whether to be scared or curious of them! He is probably suited to confident cats only. He gets on brilliantly with the large dog in his foster home and could join a family with another lively young dog, but only if they're up for lots of play, as he's pretty keen on doggy rough and tumble! Bandit loves his toys, especially squeaky ones. He isn't keen on being left outside and if other dogs bark he'll join in. He loves being around his people. His carer works and he copes well for a few hours at a time.
Bandit understands basic commands and listens and obeys well for treats. He will sit and will wait for his dinner. He gets excited (he definitely has a joy of life and a spring in his step!) which results in jumping up, so he's still learning that humans prefer him not to do that. He is enjoying his lead training but he will need ongoing work. Some obedience classes would be great for Bandit to continue his training in a fun environment.
Bandit would best suit a home without young children as he can be protective of his food. He is a very active boy and will need a good daily walk or run out and about. A good sized yard for zoomies would also be on his wish list!
Happy soul Bandit will mature into a great dog with new owners who can commit some quality time to him. If you'd like to meet him, please apply.
