About Curly
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A home with lots of love to give this handsome boy
- Children over the age of 8
Curly is a big boy with a beautiful yellow brindle colour, he is as handsome as they come.
More importantly, Curly is a super dog to have around. He is well mannered around the house, sensational on a lead, fantastic in the car, fun, funny and playful. He loves his toys, especially the ones that squeak, and he delights in tossing them around.
Curly punches above his weight when it comes to intelligence, and communication. He will round you up and take you to his food bowl when he reckons its time for his tucker, and will even let you know if you forget to put some sardines on his brekky. Same at walk time, Curly will get between you and your efforts to make the bed in the morning as a reminder that its time for his walk. Despite his communication skills, he is not a “needy” boy. Once Curly has had his walk he is content to be left to his own devices if he has a bed in the sun for when it’s pleasant and a bed undercover for when it’s not so pleasant. He would be just as content to continue his role, as he has carried out here, that of office assistant.
Curly loves going out, wherever you take him and because he is friendly and social around other dogs, and people of all ages, it makes taking him with you a joy.
Curly sleeps through the night like a baby, and doesn’t need to be let outside once he is settled for the night. Curly is definitely comfortable in his own skin and does very well as an only dog.
His ideal home could include dog savvy children above the age of 8
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
