On Hold
About Ollie
very reluctant surrender, the owner made homeless by the floods, lost his old job due to the floods. Now has a new job in the mines near newcastle with mining accommodation included so could not have his dog with him. When Ollie first came he was a little shy of strangers, would growl initially until he got to know you. Now he has learnt that people are fine, and he cuddles into you when you visit his pen. He can be protective of his territory so should go to an only dog home. He is driven by lots of smells and probably should not be trusted with small animals but we really do not know.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
