About Vander
Vander came in at 4 weeks old, with his brother and sister. We were told they are Ridgeback cross Shepherds and maybe that was what Mum was. Dad however must have short legs and is a dark brindle may have been an English Staffy or something similar. It would be interesting to do a DNA on them. They are typical naughty active playful pups that are responding well to training. They are crate trained as they sleep in the house in crates at night, during the day they are outside playing. They seem to get on with other dogs and people
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
