Woof, my name is Hachiko! It's a pleasure to meet you.

I'm a handsome 3 year old Aussie Shepherd if I do say so myself on the lookout for my forever home!

Although I'm a gentle boy and the staff here at the shelter say I'm a pleasure to work with, I will need to meet all children to ensure I am comfortable around little people and the little people are also comfortable with me. Speaking of meeting all little people, I will also need to meet all doggos you may already have in your home! I've met other doggos during my time at the shelter and am quite the social butterfly but I can also be a little picky with who I become friends with. But hey, I just have high standards oopsie.. So if you already have a dog at home, please bring them into the shelter so that we can meet to make sure we will become the best of friends!

Ideally, my future family will have Aussie Shepherd breed knowledge as I'm an intelligent breed that is high energy that will need daily enrichment, mental and physical stimulation. This can look like daily walks or two together. That means quality time together out in nature, woohoo! I would also love daily enrichment such as puzzle feeders, boxes, kongs, long lasting chews and so much more. This is to make sure I am also being worked mentally too, not just physically. Speaking of, due to my high energy needs I would love for my home to have both indoor and outdoor access so I have an area where I can continue to exert my energy and to have some me time outside to sniff the fresh air and sunbake on some lush green grass. Having both accesses allow me to be with my forever people as well as being able to help me cope best when left alone when you need to step out of the home. Oh my goodness, how could I forget? I also really LOVE toys!! I really love soft plush toys, especially the ones that squeak! Please provide me with all the toys in the world and I will be your bestest friend.
