About Maisy
Maisy is a remarkable blue and white athlete with a background filled with love and care. Despite the heart-wrenching decision her family had to make to surrender her, Maisy's impeccable training and well-mannered behaviour are a testament to the affection she has received throughout her life.
Maisy is incredibly friendly and social, never shying away from new people. She quickly reveals her silly, wiggly side, making her a joy to be around. Her patience shines when getting ready for her walkies, and she responds exceptionally well to commands. Maisy's impressive repertoire of tricks includes sit, shake (with each paw), drop, roll, beg, and even jumping through your arms like a circus acrobat. She's also quite the performer with agility equipment, showcasing her jumps and navigating tunnels with ease.
Affectionate and loving, Maisy insists she's a lap dog despite her larger size. She craves pats and attention, always eager to be around her people. Her gentle and tolerant nature makes her a perfect companion for homes with children, where she enjoys being handled and doted upon.
Maisy's strength requires ongoing training on lead, and she responds well to guidance, frequently checking in on her handlers during loose lead training walks. A harness might be more suitable for her, and she would thrive with a fit owner who can continue to manage her strength on walks.
At the veterinary clinic, Maisy is a star, handling all checks with ease and demonstrating her great handling skills.
Maisy has a special affinity for feline friends, having lived harmoniously with a cat in her previous home. Her past owners sent our reception team videos of her lying down with her cat companion, enjoying the cuddles and rubs. She has also shown interest in playing chase and zooming around playfully with other dogs, indicating she may be able to live with another social dog friend.
The ideal home for Maisy would be with a fit and active owner who can manage her strength and continue her training. She thrives on exercise and enjoys agility activities. Maisy would do well in a part-time or work-from-home environment, as she loves being around her people and can take a short time to settle when left alone. Alternatively, an owner who can gradually settle her into full-time hours would be ideal.
Overall, Maisy is a stunning, well-trained, and affectionate dog ready to bring excitement and love to her new forever home. With her love for humans, cats, and potentially other dogs, Maisy is a versatile and wonderful companion. If you're looking for a loving, playful, and incredibly talented dog, Maisy is the perfect choice. Come meet Maisy and let her charm you with her tricks, cuddles, and wiggly personality!
