About Trax
Trax is a delightful little ray of sunshine. His full body wags and happy demeanour can’t help but make you smile.
Trax has been in foster care with two adult Staffy types since he was 6 weeks old. They’ve taught him lots of valuable lessons such as the best place to hang out when peanut butter toast is being made, how to play biteyface and the fine art of snuggling. He loves playing tug of war and chasies but will happily entertain himself and chill out in the sun if the others aren’t around.
The beauty of adopting an older puppy who’s been in care during his critical period is that all the foundation work has been done for you!
– He’s toilet trained
– He’s crate trained (sleeps quietly overnight)
– He’s leash trained
– He knows basic obedience and some tricks
– He sits and waits for food
– He’s been socialised appropriately and hasn’t had any negative experiences
– He’s a great little fetcher
– He’s not bothered by storms (he’s always been indoors when there’s been a storm)
– He travels well in the car
– He does some roo-roos and back chats sometimes but he’s not a barky dog
– He’s been raised on a fresh food diet and supplemented with Antinol since he arrived in care
– He's been in care with our photographer so he's also camera trained and used to studio lights
Trax is very smart. He’s a great listener and learned the house rules with ease. He rarely tests the boundaries. He’s a medium energy pup. He can occasionally get the urge to do zoomies but he also has an off-switch. He’s pretty content to nap in the home office most of the day and cuddle on the sofa at night.
Although Trax already knows a lot of stuff it’s important that his new owners continue positive socialisation experiences. He should have regular playdates with other known friendly dogs and/or go on pack walks with other dogs. His new owners will need to be committed to his ongoing training and development. Trax should be taken to obedience classes to ensure that he continues to grow into a nice, mannerly, adult dog.
Trax is expected to grow to be 25-30 kilo Staffy type (approximately). He will require daily exercise and mental stimulation keep him happy and healthy.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Trax, preferably with bully breed experienced owners who can appreciate how to train them. He would be great in a home with another friendly and already trained dog who can be a great role model for him but can also be an only dog if given the right support during the transition period into his new environment. Trax must be allowed to be inside the home to spend time with the family and will need a warm comfy bed to sleep on at night. At this stage, he hasn’t been around many children and he hasn’t been tested with cats or pocket pets.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry Form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details of your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle Trax will have with you.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
