About Fonzie
Gorgeous little Fonzie is all about fun & wiggles! He's a working breed mix & will end up as a bright & energetic medium sized dog.
As all youngsters, he is busy, curious, energetic, likes to play & requires a lot of time & effort put into helping him thrive in a human world.
Fonzie is super affectionate & loves nothing more than hanging out with his favourite people. He's a smashing little guy with huge potential.
Fonzie is looking for a family who will welcome him into their life & home & help teach him nice manners as well as giving him appropriate outlets for all his energy. He will need a supply of enrichment articles such as toys, chews & food puzzles to help keep him busy. He loves figuring out how to get his dinner out of a Wobble Kong.
Fonzie can get overwhelmed by some situations & we will require any potential adopter to come & visit him several times at the shelter before they take him home. He will need to build up some trust & a bit of a bond first.
He enjoys the company of other dogs & may well be able to co-habit with a suitable canine companion. A meet & greet prior to adoption would be needed.
Socialisation is vital for dogs & involves carefully exposing them to a variety of new situations, environments & people & making these experiences as positive as possible. For young dogs, it is a crucial time for these interactions to take place & neglecting to socialise them may contribute towards behavioural issues in the future.
