About Zara
Zara is a stunningly eighteen month old pedigree German Shepherd who needs to find a new home with her bestie male mate, Rex.
First requirement is a home who have had previous large breed or Shepherd experience, who have the time to put into two active and loving German Shepherds.
Second requirement is a secure yard with areas of shade and shelter and with the opportunity for the pair to have inclusion in the home.
Rex and Zara are bonded so we are searching for a caring home who will have the benefit of owning two connected dogs who have grown up around children and are house trained and voice responsive.
Both dogs will need time to gain trust and respect-connect with their new family, we can see Rex is a gentle boy and good natured.
We want both to go to a home where they will be an integral family members.
Rex and Zara have not lived with cats or small dogs and we are recommending they have no contact with livestock or horses.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Rex and Zara will give in abundance when they connect and build that trust with there new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Rex.
Zara is currently living with Rex, and need to be homed together. Rex's profile can be seen here:

If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Zara".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Zara. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Zara is microchipped and vaccinated and will be desexed before going to her new home.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
