About Bert
Bert is a beautiful Beagle. He is on the small side of a medium dog.
Bert is loving and a relaxed boy. Bert is house trained but may make mistakes when he first arrives in your home. Bert is a beagle so will follow his nose, he has been great with the dogs here at SMART HQ, he has seen the cats and has shown no interested (but our resident cats here dont run). Bert has been a indoor/outdoor dog and has always slept indoors. Bert being a beagle finds it hard to stop following his nose so is not great at recall. He walks lovely on a lead and has been a pleasure to have here at SMART.
Bert would love a home where he can sniff the back yard, go on outings and then have cuddles on the couch.
Bert is an affectionate and relaxed Beagle with a curious nose. He is a house-trained companion who may need some time to adjust to his new home. Bert has been great with other dogs while at SMART HQ, but he has shown no interest in cats. Although Bert loves to explore and follow his nose, he walks nicely on a leash and has been an absolute pleasure to have around.
Bert would make the perfect addition for a family looking for an indoor/outdoor pup who's just as comfortable snooping around the backyard as he is cuddling up on the couch. He's sure to bring lots of love and joy into any household that's willing to give him the chance!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
